Dear Mike,

Thank you for your interest in Chicago GSB...Unfortunately we are not able to offer you admission into the Class of 2010...etc etc etc.

I'm so sorry!

But look at it this way-- the odds of getting into all 3 schools was next to zero anyway. Maybe this is your ding, and the next two will be accepts.

Hey Mike...really sorry to hear that...Wanted to see you get through buddy!

But thats life I guess....I too was shattered and still do not understand the reasons for being DWI from Wharton and Chi....but guess all of us have to deal with it...

Best of luck with your other apps and wishing you merry christmas and a very happy new year!!!

dude came to your blog via ad411 - (am sangoman there).......was looking for fellow 770'ers who like me have been ruined by the stupid ray of hope from the GSB interview. Dunno abt you.......but I pretty much eased up on my R2 after getting the invite from GSB....only to be handed a ding day before.

Am now going all guns blazing for W an Anderson. Best of luck on your R2 .......just a word of caution - the deadline is a fortnight away .....not 3 weeks. So a lil urgency is the need of the hour

I think they're silly for not admitting you. And I don't think you should give up, so I found a whole bunch of motivational quotes for you:

Our greatest glory consists not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
Oliver Goldsmith

Go back a little to leap further.
John Clarke

First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.
Epictetus

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.
Lanston Hughes

It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.
Theodore Roosevelt

And lastly...Confucius say:
It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.
